The WPBSA successfully held its latest coaching day last week at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester.

Those completing the Level 1 course successfully qualified as Community WPBSA World Snooker Coaches and were provided with an introduction on how to coach the basics of the game, plus how to organise a snooker event within their area.

Participants included five players who were competing at the WDBS Open Disability Snooker Championship the following weekend, as well as 2016 WLBS World Championship semi-finalist Rebecca Granger. They were joined by other players from across the UK and Europe, with two participants who travelled from the Netherlands to undertake the course.

The coach was delivered by WPBSA Head of Coaching Chris Lovell and accredited WPBSA World Snooker coach Bob Hill.

The dates for upcoming courses in 2017 will be announced in due course.
