Tom Ford made the third 147 of his career during his first round match at the F66.com German Masters in Berlin on Wednesday night.

Ford’s perfect break came in the second frame of his last 32 clash with Peter Ebdon at the Tempodrom and put him 2-0 up.

In potting 15 reds with blacks and clearing the colours, world number 37 Ford put himself in line for a potential £10,000 bonus plus the 4,000 Euro high break, as long as the maximum is not equalled this week.

Leicester’s Ford previously made 147s at the 2007 Grand Prix and 2012 Bulgarian Open.

Tonight’s maximum is the 128th in snooker history and tenth of the season after 147s from Thepchaiya Un-Nooh, Stephen Maguire, Shaun Murphy, Alfie Burden, John Higgins, Mark Allen, Ali Carter, Ross Muir and Mark Davis.
