Why I became a Snooker Coach? Ever since I picked up a cue to hit some balls on the pool table, I fell in love with what has been aptly described by Bob Fancher (Ph.D) as the “pleasures of small motions”. Little did I know back then that snooker would become one of my passions in life! I have had the privilege of learning English Billiards from the late Mr. Satish Amarnath and Snooker from PJ Nolan. Both these coaches helped me develop an eye for the finer aspects of the games and an appreciation for the high technical ability and mental toughness required to play them as a competitive sport. Working in the education sector, first as a teacher and then as a teacher and principal trainer has helped me understand learning and pedagogy at the grass roots level. I would now like to apply my experience and learnings to coach snooker and help grow this beautiful game in my country.
