Liu Yang earned a two-year World Snooker Tour (WST) tour card for the first time at the 2026 Asia-Oceania Q School.
Despite losing his opening match of the first event in Thailand, Liu bounced back to last defeat Chen Ruifu 4-2 and earn professional status for the first time from the start of the 2026/27 season.
He had previously entered Asia-Oceania Q School in both 2024 and 2025 with his best run coming in event one of 2024 – where he reached the penultimate round.
