Today marks our final preview of 2019 as we look ahead to the last remaining competitions of the calendar year to be contested on the World Snooker Tour and across the WPBSA Group. Here we preview all of the upcoming action both on the professional tour and various amateur circuits over the weeks ahead.

ROKiT Irish Masters Qualifier (6-8 December)

The month begins with the qualifying event for next year’s ROKiT Irish Masters which takes place at the George Scott Snooker Club in Liverpool early next month.

Full tournament information for the latest event on the World Seniors Snooker Tour including the draw and format will be available at snookerscores.net in due course.

Scottish Open (9-15 December)

The final ranking event trophy of the calendar year will be claimed in Glasgow next month as Mark Allen launches the defence of his 19.com Scottish Open title.

Also won by the likes of Marco Fu and Neil Robertson in recent seasons, the tournament will be the third event of the 2019/20 Home Nations Series following tournaments in England and Northern Ireland already.

Challenge Tour 7 (14-15 December)

The 2019/20 Challenge Tour season continues as the amateur circuit heads to De Maxx in Pelt, Belgium. Owned by World Women’s Snooker player Wendy Jans, the club previously staged a World Women’s Snooker Tour event in October 2018.

Two players from the Challenge Tour will earn two-year tour cards from the start of the 2020/21 season.

German Masters / European Masters Qualifiers (17-22 December)

The final competitive snooker of 2019 will be played across two qualifying competitions at the Barnsley Metrodome from 17-22 December as the all-new BetVictor European Series gets underway.

The draw and formats for both events will be confirmed following the conclusion of the ongoing UK Championship, with the updated ranking list following the tournament to be used to seed both qualifiers.
