Liam Highfield hit his maiden maximum in Unibet British Open qualifying during a 4-1 victory over Stephen Maguire.
The Stoke-on-Trent cueist achieved perfection in the opening frame of his contest, with the win seeing him through to the final stages in Cheltenham.
It’s the fourth 147 of the season, following Michael Holt, Si Jiahui and Chang Bingyu’s efforts.
Two-time Women’s World Champion Bai Yulu scored her first match win of the season, beating Canadian Sahil Nayyar 4-1.
After splitting the first two frames, Bai produced a three-frame burst to book her place in the final stages in Cheltenham. Victory sees her bounce back from a tough 5-4 defeat against Dylan Emery in Shenzen Open qualifying, where she had led 4-2.
Welsh youngster Liam Davies put on a fine display to overcome Craig Steadman 4-2. Davies, who bounced back from tour relegation earlier this year by coming through Q School, made breaks of 58, 68, 83 and 82 in the win.
Sean O’Sullivan was a 4-2 victor over the legendary Jimmy White, while Ali Carter whitewashed Stuart Carrington in Leicester.
Qualifying action resumes tomorrow with the BetVictor English Open.
