Play Snooker marks six months of growth as it lays the foundations for a connected snooker community.
In its first six months, Play Snooker has recorded strong player engagement, a steadily expanding club network and new features that widen the ways players practice and compete.
Built as a digital home for snooker, Play Snooker brings players, clubs, practice and competition together on one platform. The figures so far show that players are not just signing up but actively playing: 90% of matches started are completed, and churn has remained below 1% since launch.
New clubs are joining every week, and the network is increasingly international, with around 40% of clubs based outside the UK. Approximately 76% of clubs are affiliated with the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA), while around 23% have been created by the community. This shows that Play Snooker appeals to established clubs and player-led groups alike.

Product development is also gathering pace. Players can now choose from multiple practice modes, taking the app beyond match play, and track their progress throughout the year to see how their game is improving.
The next phase will focus on bringing players together. Player Connect, launching soon, will make it easier to find opponents, arrange matches and meet other players through the app. Pre-launch interest in the feature has been encouraging.
Looking further ahead, the ambition is to create a digital federation that links the sport’s existing structures with the people who play, practise and grow the game every day.
Play Snooker is powered by the WPBSA, built with the community and runs on the NAGRA Sport Player and Community Platform from NAGRAVISION, a Kudelski Group company. Together, the partners will keep adding features, expanding the platform’s reach and creating new ways for players and clubs to get involved. Clubs, leagues and snooker communities interested in joining the network are invited to get in touch.
