Elliot Slessor is a five-time ranking event semi-finalist, who has achieved a career-high world ranking of number 19 in May 2026.
From Gateshead, the Englishman enjoyed a breakthrough performance at the 2017 Northern Ireland Open, defeating Ronnie O’Sullivan 4-1 en route to the semi-finals, where he lost to Mark Williams.
He matched his semi-final run at the 2021 British Open, narrowly losing 4-3 to friend Gary Wilson in Leicester, and again at the 2024 Welsh Open where he again lost in a decider to Martin O’Donnell. Slessor has since reached the last four of the 2024 Northern Ireland Open and 2026 Championship League.
In 2020 he made his Crucible debut at the World Championship, recovering from 8-1 and 9-2 down to Yan Bingtao, before ultimately losing 10-7. Three years on, he again secured qualification for the Crucible, but was unable to defeat Gary Wilson at the last 32 stage.
Slessor first turned professional in 2013 through Q School, regaining his place in 2016 through the EBSA Play-Offs with victory against Jamie Clarke.
