Egypt’s Mahmoud El Hareedy earned professional status for the first time in his career by defeating Yassine Bellamine 6-1 In the final of the 2025 All-Africa Snooker Championship.
El Hareedy successfully came from a field of 50 cueists from across the continent in Saïdia, Morocco to secure a place on the World Snooker Tour (WST) from the 2025/26 season.
The Egyptian previously competed on the WPBSA Q Tour Middle East series, reached the quarter-final of an event in Abu Dhabi, and took part in the 2023 6-Red World Championship where his opponents included former world champion Stuart Bingham and former ranking event winner Jordan Brown.
He earned his first professional victory at the 2026 German Masters by defeating Iran’s Amir Sarkhosh 5-1.
