Mina Awad earned a two-year World Snooker Tour (WST) tour card for the first time by defeating Charl Jonck 6-5 in the final of the 2026 All-Africa Snooker Championship in South Africa.
The Egyptian won through a field of 50 cueists to earn professional status from the 2026/27 campaign.
Award had previously competed in the WPBSA Q Tour Middle East series, twice reaching the last 16 of events in the region, and made it to the last 64 of the 2024 WSF Championship.
