Oliver Sykes earned a two-year World Snooker Tour (WST) tour card for the first time at the 2026 European Championships in Gandia, Spain.
A run to the final of the Main event in Spain was enough for Sykes to join the professional ranks for the first time as Ukraine’s Anton Kazakov completed an impressive Main and Under-21 double.
The Englishman is one of the most highly rated young players from his country with a prominent career in the junior ranks – finishing top of the English Junior Tour ranking list in both 2024 and 2025.
Sykes made his professional debut as a wildcard at the 2021 English Open, losing 4-1 to Allan Taylor, and has since competed in several WST events – reaching the last 80 of the 2024 UK Championship and the same stage of the 2026 World Championship.
