China’s Zhao Hanyang successfully came through the 2025 Asia/Oceania Q School to secure his place on the World Snooker Tour (WST) for the first time in his career.
A strong performance at the first event saw him lose out to Chatchapong Nasa in the penultimate round and, a few days later, Zhao overcame Thailand’s Narongdat Takantong 4-1 to earn a two-year tour card.
Zhao earned a maiden World Championship match win during the 2026 qualifiers as he defeated Mahmoud El Hareedy 10-3 in the first round.
