Si Jiahui made the second 147 of his career during his BetVictor Championship League match against Xu Yichen on Tuesday.

Si’s perfect break came in the opening frame of a 3-0 victory and doubled his tally of maximums, having made his first at the 2024 Wuhan Open. It’s the second 147 of the season and 243rd in snooker history.

However, Si finished runner-up in Group 6 to Marco Fu, who graduates to the second stage. China’s Si had drawn his opening tie with Sean Maddocks 2-2, while Fu beat Xu 3-0 and Maddocks 3-1. In the final match of the group, Si took the opening frame but then Fu made two breaks of 80 to lead 2-1 and secure top spot, though the tie finished 2-2.

It was a fine day for Hong Kong as Cheng Ka Wai won Group 26 with a hat-trick of victories. He beat Ashley Carty 3-1, George Pragnell 3-0 with a top run of 111, then rounded off the day with a 3-0 defeat of Matthew Stevens.
